For all those people who have been whining for years about the unwillingness of Infiniti to bring us a convertible version of the coupe, shut your mouth because the new 2009 Infiniti G37  Convertible is now here! The first Infiniti Convertible was a car tat no one remembers; the M30.

The convertible gets a larger trunk to accomodate the roof, aluminum trim, and special sport seats. Some really cool parts that come on the convertible are a wind deflector, a 13 speaker stereo, comfortable heated buckets, and auto climate controller. Bose is always at the pinnacle of sound and the system designed for the G37 uses digital signals and nosie cancelling speakers to adjust for nosie when the top is down. A tonneau cover disguises the three piece roof which rests in the trunk when the convertible feature is enabled. The convertible top can be put down in no time.

Nissan engineers did a great job of modifying the chassis, suspension, panels, and trunk area to adapt the car as a convertible. The convertible weight ballons due to the retractable top and all the motorized hardware. It is 453 pounds. heavier that the coupe and over 100lbs. more that the 335i drop-top.

Engine wise, the 2009 Infiniti G37 Convertible has a 3.7-liter motor that can produce 327 horsepower and 276 torque.torques. It is obtainable with a six-speed stick-shift sport package or an auto transmission. The G37 come standard with huge 19 inch wheels, large brakes, and a sporty steering system. Magnesium shift paddles are also included on all automatic cars. Brand spanking new this G37 Convertible will set you back a cool 44k.It is imperitive to pay a little extra to get a stick shift version of the trans.
